RIBBON TAILED ASTRAPIA
The Greenpeace Wings of Paradise campaign was a 2018 global art-activism initiative that used murals and paste-ups in 20 cities to raise awareness about deforestation in Indonesian forests due to palm oil production and the impact on the endemic Birds of Paradise. Artists worldwide created large-scale artworks depicting the vibrant Birds of Paradise, symbolizing the beauty and vulnerability of the region's rainforests and calling for corporations and governments to protect biodiversity and communities from destructive practices.
